BioTest s.r.o. is a GLP-certified CRO dedicated to pre-clinical research and development related to cardiovascular disorders (specialized hemodynamic laboratory), of anti-influenza vaccines (EU grant projects), neurodegenerative diseases (Huntington’s disease model), oncology (hereditary melanoma model) and diabetes (type I rodent model, type II NHP model), comprehensive toxicological program (human/veterinary pharmaceuticals, biosimilars (PHARMA), chemicals, and agrochemicals (comprehensive REACH program) and food additives, specific antibody production and breeding of laboratory animals (non-human primates, beagle dogs, ferrets and rodents).
Advanced projects:
- Development of experimental models of myocardial infarctation, vascular re-stenosis, liver ischemia/reperfusion injury, contrast nephropathy in dogs and NHP.
- Anti-influenza vaccines- preclinical development, immunogenicity, pharmacology, safety and effcicacy evaluation in ferret model.
- Acute Huntington’s disease model in miniature pigs, development of transgenic HD model in miniature pigs.
- Hereditary melanoma model development in miniature pigs (MeLIM strain, 50 % of newborns are melanoma bearing, 30 % of affected animals show progressing disease, 70 % show spontaneous recover.
- Chronic traumatic spinal cord injury model in miniature pig enabling long-lasting pharmacological intervention and investigation of stem cell therapy.
- Experimental models of diabetes type I (ZTS-induced, rodents) and type II (NHP).

Cardiovascular disorders - development and validation of the animal models of myocardial infarct, vascular restenosis, ischemia/reperfusion injury, contrast nephropathy, evaluation of hemodynamic effect of drugs
Oncology - anti-tumor effectiveness in vitro, in vivo, spontaneus melanoma model in miniature pig
Neurodegenerative diseases - experimental model of Huntington´s disease in miniature pig, model of stem cell therapy of neural injury
Anti-influenza vaccines - preclinical development
Diabetes - experimental model of diabetes type I and II, evaluation of antidiabetics
Comprehensive toxicological service - human and veterinary pharmaceuticals/ biopharmaceuticals (Pharma) and chemicals (REACH).
Specific antibody production (GABA B, CRIP, mGluR), customized production starting from cDNA isolation through antigen preparation and immunization up to anti body purification and characterization.
Laboratory animal breeding: rodents, guinea pigs, ferrets, dogs, non human primates
